WINNER - SHORT FILM OF THE YEAR, BLACK TRAVEL FILM FESTIVAL

New Black Myths is an art project by Oakland-based Afro-Futurist painter Nyame Brown that creates new Black mythological characters inspired by the desert landscape of Joshua Tree, California. The project mixes African storytelling with imagination and explores how nature can shape identity and belief. New Black Myths invites viewers to imagine Black futures through myth, landscape, and the freedom to dream beyond the past.
